John Waters combines his trademark raunch with newfound sentiment in this sweetly kitschy, offbeat ode to his beloved home city of Baltimore. It’s there that blue-collar teen Pecker (Edward Furlong) pursues his zeal for photography by documenting the exploits of his oddball family and friends. When a New York City art dealer (Lili Taylor) “discovers” his work and turns him into an art-world sensation, the conflicted Pecker must decide whether to pursue fame in the big city or remain true to his Charm City roots.
