After she escapes a sect of German religious fanatics, Maria, a young woman, finds refuge in a house in the south of Chile. She is welcomed into the home by its only inhabitants: two pigs. Like in a dream, the universe of the house reacts to Maria’s feelings. And as in a dream, things gradually take a sinister turn into the nightmare realm. With echoes of David Lynch, Jan Švankmajer, and the Quay Brothers, this astonishing work of stop-motion surrealism masquerades as an animated fairy tale produced by the leader of the sect in order to indoctrinate its followers.
