Writing under the pseudonym Amanda Gris for years, Leo (Marisa Paredes) is a best-selling author of romantic fiction. Leo has grown tired of producing popular fiction, however, as her heart yearns to write truly great literature. Unable to accept that her marriage to Paco (Imanol Arias) is failing, Leo finds herself in a creative and emotional crisis. When she confides in her friend Betty (Carme Elias), a psychologist who also happens to be Paco’s mistress, Betty recommends she meet with her friend Angel (Juan Echanove), the editor of the leading newspaper “El País.” After Angel offers her a job as a critic for a national arts supplement, Leo’s first assignment brings her face-to-face with her alter-ego, causing an examination of her true identity, her deepest motivations and, most importantly, the direction of her life after Paco.
