The first of director John Ford’s three fruitful collaborations with star Will Rogers casts the winningly folksy performer as Dr. Bull, an old-fashioned country doctor whose affair with a widow is making waves in his small town. When the townspeople hold an emergency meeting and decide to bring in a new physician, Dr. Bull must find a way to save his career, his reputation, and a young man who appears to be a hopeless case.
