Eye of the Cat

Eye of the Cat

Directed by David Lowell Rich • 1969 • United States
Starring Michael Sarrazin, Gayle Hunnicutt, Eleanor Parker

In swinging-sixties San Francisco, a young couple concocts a plot to rob a wealthy, eccentric cat lady (Eleanor Parker)—but first they must make it past the legions of none-too-friendly feral felines prowling her mansion. This luridly entertaining animal-attack shocker was scripted by PSYCHO screenwriter Joseph Stefano, though it also recalls another Hitchcock film: think THE BIRDS, but with hundreds of claws-out kitties.
