The Entity

Purportedly based on true events, this terrifying supernatural thriller features a fearless performance from Barbara Hershey as Carla Moran, a young California mother whose life is shattered by a series of brutal attacks from an unseen force that assaults her in the night. Met with disbelief by doctors and psychiatrists, the traumatized Carla turns to a pair of paranormal researchers in hopes of reclaiming her life. A provocative look at the ways in which society fails sexual assault survivors, THE ENTITY stands as one of the most daring and unnerving horror films of the 1980s.
