City of Angels

Wim Wenders’ beloved romantic fantasy WINGS OF DESIRE is transplanted from Berlin to Los Angeles for this beautifully sincere, sweepingly emotional reimagining. Seth (Nicolas Cage) is an angel who watches over Los Angeles, until he meets heart surgeon Maggie (Meg Ryan), who is shattered following the death of one of her patients on the operating table. Drawn to human sensation and love, Seth reveals himself to Maggie. As faith and reason collide, their devotion deepens, forcing Seth to choose between eternal grace and a fleeting human life.
