Peggy Sue Got Married

With this bittersweet pop fable, Francis Ford Coppola ponders that universal question: if you could turn back the hands of time, how would you change your destiny? This is the conundrum facing Peggy Sue (an Oscar-nominated Kathleen Turner), a woman now in the midst of divorcing her high school sweetheart (Nicolas Cage) when she is suddenly transported from her twenty-fifth class reunion back to her senior year of high school in 1959. Now reliving her past and gifted the enviable, if at times heart-wrenching, ability to alter her future, Peggy Sue dares to stray from the safe path that led to her unhappiness.
