Sugar Glass Bottle

In a near-future Tokyo, a sheepish high schooler finds a surprising way to express his mounting frustration at the insidious forces of commercialism that are forcing out the neighbors he cares most about. Inspired by a prank that the writer-director Neo Sora had pulled on him in his childhood, SUGAR GLASS BOTTLE combines a sense of warm nostalgia with cold, material reality to tell a story of disappearing spaces and the forces of policing and gentrification that push this process forward.
