An ingeniously entertaining blend of home-invasion thriller, pitch-black comedy, and family drama, this indie-horror breakout hit unfolds over the course of the family reunion of the Davisons, a wealthy, dysfunctional brood whose petty squabbles are soon overtaken by a much more serious crisis: a violent intrusion by a group of crossbow-wielding, animal-masked killers. The one thing the attackers didn’t count on: the presence of Erin (Sharni Vinson), an outsider whose survivalist training makes her uniquely ready to fight back.
