What happened there is a matter of speculation that director Christopher Munch explores to the fullest in his bold, thought-provoking debut. Riffing on the real-life bond shared by the two vastly different men—one a worldly gay sophisticate, the other a rough-around-the-edges rocker on the cusp of superstardom—the recently restored THE HOURS AND TIMES probes the intricacies of friendship, love, and sex with nuance and piercing insight.
