Guncrazy

The first feature by music video director Tamra Davis is a stylishly grungy update of the classic lovers-on-the-lam noir à la THEY LIVE BY NIGHT and, of course, Joseph H. Lewis’s GUN CRAZY. Transitioning from child star to edgy teen actor, Drew Barrymore stars as Anita, a vulnerable young woman living in a trailer park in central California who is used and abused by the sleazy men around her. That all changes when she begins a correspondence with a convict (James LeGros) and gets hold of a gun—leading her down a path of crime and passion.
