The Tit and the Moon

The final installment in director Bigas Luna’s IBERIAN TRILOGY (following JAMÓN JAMÓN and GOLDEN BALLS) is a sweetly bawdy blend of sex comedy and coming-of-age fairy tale. Driven by jealousy of his new baby brother—specifically the frequent breastfeeding he receives from their mother—nine-year-old Tete (Biel Durán) wishes on the moon for a lactating bosom all his own. He believes he’s found the answer to his prayers with the arrival of French dancer Estrellita (Mathilda May)—but competition for her attention proves stiff.
