My Ain Folk

In the second installment in his autobiographical coming-of-age trilogy, director Bill Douglas continues the story of Jamie (Stephen Archibald) as he is shuffled between relatives, ultimately being sent to live with his stern, emotionally distant paternal grandmother. Facing rejection and instability at home, he seeks moments of escape and fleeting transcendence through cinema.
