Circles of Desire: Alan Williams on LA RONDE

Film scholar Alan Williams has devoted a large part of his career to studying the films of Max Ophuls, in particular LA RONDE. His book “Max Ophuls and the Cinema of Desire: A Critical Study of Six Films, 1948-1955” was published in 1980. In this interview, conducted in 2008, Williams discusses LA RONDE and its history.
