The Hughes brothers’ ambitious follow-up to MENACE II SOCIETY is a searing look at the struggles of Black Vietnam War veterans as seen through the eyes of Anthony Curtis (Larenz Tate), a young man from the Bronx who returns home from a nightmarish stint in the marines only to find himself fighting a new battle against the harsh social and economic reality of 1970s America. As he grows increasingly desperate to support his family, Curtis makes a shocking decision that sends his life spiraling further out of control.
