Starring Paul Dooley, Marta Heflin, Titos Vandis
An endearing, underseen oddity made at the end of director Robert Altman’s dazzling 1970s creative run, this offbeat (even by Altman standards) romantic comedy explores the mysterious nature of love through the unlikely relationship between two very different people—Alex (Paul Dooley), a straitlaced Greek American businessman stifled by his overbearing family, and Sheila (Marta Heflin), a bohemian musician in a communal rock group—who are thrown together by fate in the form of a computer dating service. Searching for a change of direction, he joins her on tour as the pair attempt to turn an improbable connection into lasting love.
