Over the span of four years, from 1963 to 1966, documentary filmmaker Murray Lerner recorded highlights from the Newport Folk Festival. The product is a film featuring some of the greatest performers and musicians of the 1960s, including Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Johnny Cash and Peter, Paul and Mary. Viewers have not only the opportunity to witness the original live recordings, but also hear from the musicians as they speak to the meaning of their work.
