Unfolding over four episodes, Jacques Rozier’s homage to Molière is a charmingly relaxed backstage comedy in which Lily Strasberg (Lydia Feld), a spirited actor fresh off a long-running stage success, travels to the picturesque city of Béziers in the south of France to visit her former brother-in-law, the stressed-out manager of a struggling operetta troupe. Though she is supposed to be on vacation, the exuberant Lily can not help getting drawn into the drama both onstage and off as she inspires the demoralized company to revive their fortunes by staging a play by Molière.
