Director Tim Blake Nelson’s audacious, tonally assured blend of black comedy and crime thriller features a marvelous dual performance from Edward Norton as identical twins Bill and Brady Kincaid. Bill is an accomplished Ivy League philosophy professor, while Brady sells pot back in their Oklahoma hometown. When Bill returns home to visit, he finds himself unwittingly drawn into Brady’s wild scheme to take down a local drug kingpin.
