Quentin Tarantino pays homage to the glory days of grindhouse cinema with this retro, gleefully subversive schlock shocker. Kurt Russell plays the psychotic movie stunt double Stuntman Mike, who uses his specially rigged, “death-proof” automobile to kill young women in grisly car crashes. But when he targets the wrong group of women—including a Hollywood stuntwoman (Zoë Bell, Uma Thurman’s stunt double in KILL BILL, playing herself)—he’s in for the ride of a lifetime.
