In this wildly anarchic sequel to John Carpenter’s dystopian classic ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, eye-patch-sporting antihero Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell) returns, this time on a kamikaze mission through the postapocalyptic wasteland that is Los Angeles in 2013. Along the way, Plissken surfs a wave down Wilshire Blvd., shoots hoops at the Coliseum, dive bombs the Happy Kingdom theme park, and encounters all manner of oddballs played by the likes of Steve Buscemi, Pam Grier, Stacy Keach, and Bruce Campbell.
