Starring Tony Jaa, Wu Jing, Simon Yam
A sequel in name only to KILL ZONE, the giddily frenetic KILL ZONE 2 (a.k.a. SPL 2: A TIME FOR CONSEQUENCES) teams action virtuosos Tony Jaa, Wu Jing, and Zhang Jin with Hong Kong megastars Simon Yam and Louis Koo for a delirious melodramatic stew of dirty cops, prison riots, and black-market organ transplants, all brought together by a nonstop series of inventive, bone-crunching set pieces. When an undercover cop (Wu) gets too close to revealing the mastermind (Koo) of a drug syndicate, his cover is blown. Double-crossed and under a false identity, he’s thrown into a Thai jail, where a guard (Jaa) discovers that the inmate—insisting he’s a cop—is a bone marrow match for his dying daughter . . . and the warden (Zhang) may have an even deadlier operation hidden within the prison walls.
