The first channel of Laura Poitras’s double video installation O’SAY CAN YOU SEE captures, in haunting slow-motion, the faces of stunned and saddened onlookers gazing at the unseen rubble of the World Trade Center shortly after the 9/11 attacks. Together with O’SAY CAN YOU SEE 2, the work offers a meditation on the fractured psyche of post-9/11 America.
