It’s last call at the Roaring 20s, a beloved Las Vegas dive bar where the regulars—a patchwork family of misfits, whiskey-soaked philosophers, and all-American oddballs—convene for one last night of drunken revelry before the bar closes forever. Blurring the boundaries between fiction and documentary (the premise is constructed but the nonactor cast of real-life barflies was left to their own devices), acclaimed directing duo Turner and Bill Ross serve up a boozy, bleary-eyed hangout movie shot through with cockeyed poetry and communal warmth.
