Cult director Jeff Lieberman (BLUE SUNSHINE, JUST BEFORE DAWN) pays homage to the heyday of 1950s science fiction with a sublimely schlocky, awesomely ’80s alien-invasion satire. When video-store clerk Cosmo (Kevin Dillon) discovers that one of the tapes his shop is renting—a black-and-white sci-fi B movie—is being used to brainwash viewers into killing one another, he must race to stop the deadly tape from spreading. Tracing its origins to a movie studio secretly run by extraterrestrials, Cosmo uncovers an intergalactic plot to take over the world.
