5m 54s
In 1967, seven years after Jacques Becker’s death, the renowned French television series “Cinéastes de notre temps” dedicated an episode to the director, in which friends and collaborators discussed what it was like to work with him. Among the participants were screenwriter Maurice Griffe, “Touchez pas au grisbi” author Albert Simonin, Lino Ventura, and François Truffaut—all featured in this excerpt. The episode was directed by Claude de Givray.
