A young woman struggles to keep her family together against all odds in this deeply felt drama. Mary Call (Julie Gholson) lives happily with her father and three siblings in the remote Smoky Mountains. Her idyllic childhood ends abruptly, however, when her father suddenly dies. Responsible and resourceful, Mary emerges as the head of the family, determined to do what she must to fulfill her deathbed promise to her father to keep the orphans together.
