Using custom non-AI software, director Gary Hustwit and digital artist Brendan Dawes created the world’s first generative feature film, which endlessly reedits and resequences hundreds of hours of never-before-seen footage, interviews, and unreleased music into 52 quintillion (or 52 billion billion) possible permutations. Chronicling Eno’s legendary contributions to the band Roxy Music, his influential work as a pioneer of ambient music, and his producing career for artists like David Bowie, U2, and Talking Heads, ENO is a fittingly form-breaking tribute to an artist who changed the way modern music is made.
