During a child’s naming ceremony, a sheikh predicts that Muzamil (Mustafa Shehata) will die at the age of twenty. Haunted by this prophecy, his mother (Islam Mubarak) becomes fiercely protective of him. As Muzamil escapes his mother’s ever-watchful eye, however, he encounters friends, ideas, and challenges that cause him to question his destiny.
